Tribal Wars

InnoGames' original medieval village-conquest game from 2003, played in long, unforgiving wars between tribes.

Overview

Tribal Wars is one of the longest-running browser strategy games. Each player starts with one village in a medieval world and grows it by upgrading buildings, gathering wood, clay and iron, and training troops. Conquering other villages with noblemen is the main way to expand, and strong players end up controlling hundreds.

The game is built around tribes, which coordinate attacks, defend members and fight for territory. Worlds have different speeds and rule sets, and most end when a tribe meets the victory conditions. Real-time attack timing and night-time defense make it demanding for active players.

It is free to play in the browser, through mobile apps and through a Steam client, with premium points sold for features such as an account manager and resource trading.
