Terms of Service
Draft. This page will be finalized and dated before the site launches.
These terms are an agreement between you and Multiplayer Atlas for using Multiplayer Atlas. By using the site you agree to them and to the community rules and privacy policy.
1. The service
Multiplayer Atlas is a directory of multiplayer and online games with rankings, reviews, voting, giveaways and member features. We don’t make or run the games listed; each belongs to its developer or publisher, and their own terms apply when you play.
2. Your account
- You must be at least 13 years old, and old enough under the law where you live, to create an account.
- One account per person. Keep your password secret; you’re responsible for activity on your account.
- You can delete your account at any time from Your data.
3. What you post
You keep ownership of your reviews, lists, diary entries and other content. You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, adapt (for layout) and distribute it on the site and its feeds and API, for as long as it’s on the site. You confirm you have the right to post it and that it follows the community rules. We may remove content or restrict accounts that break them.
4. Rankings and votes
- Rankings are calculated from votes, ratings, popularity and momentum as explained on the about page. We may change the method and remove votes or ratings we believe are fraudulent.
- One vote per game every voting window. Bots, scripts, vote farms, multiple accounts and paying for votes are not allowed.
- Developers may reward players for voting, but only through our vote callback or check API, and may not require purchases to vote.
- Sponsored placements are labelled and never affect rankings, reviews or awards.
5. Giveaways
Giveaway codes are provided by developers, who are responsible for honoring them. Codes are limited, one per member, free, and may not be sold or traded. We can cancel claims made through multiple accounts or automation. We aren’t liable if a developer’s code doesn’t work, but tell us and we’ll follow up with them.
6. Developers and listings
If you claim a game, you confirm you’re authorized to manage it. Keep listing details accurate, don’t write reviews of your own game or arrange fake ones, and keep any API keys and callback secrets private. We may edit or remove listings that are inaccurate, misleading or abandoned, and may revoke management access.
7. Acceptable use
Don’t break the law, attack or overload the site, scrape it in ways that harm it, get around rate limits or security, or use it to send spam or malware. Our public API has its own limits; respect them.
8. Third-party links
Links to games and other sites are provided for convenience. We don’t control those sites and aren’t responsible for their content, purchases you make there, or their privacy practices.
9. Disclaimers and liability
The site is provided “as is”. Game information, ratings and rankings may be incomplete or out of date, and we don’t guarantee the site will always be available. To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the past 12 months or USD 50. Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer law that can’t be limited.
10. Ending things
You can stop using the site and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end accounts that break these terms or the rules, as explained in the rules.
11. Changes and law
We may update these terms; if a change is significant we’ll update the date above and announce it on the site. The governing law will be stated here when the terms are finalized.
