A long-running browser adoptables game where players collect dragon eggs, help them hatch and grow, and breed adults to build family lineages.
Dragon Cave is a browser game about collecting and raising dragons. The world is a fantasy land called Galsreim, and the main screen is a set of habitats such as alpine, coast, desert, forest, jungle and volcano, each holding a rotating supply of abandoned eggs that players can claim.
Eggs and hatchlings grow on real-time timers, and other players help them along by viewing them, which is why dragon links are shared widely on forums and social media. Once dragons reach adulthood, players can breed them to produce new eggs and record multi-generation lineages. The team adds new breeds through the year, along with seasonal events such as a Halloween trick-or-treat that accepts community pixel art submissions.
The game is light on mechanics and suits short check-ins rather than long sessions. Social play centers on the forum, trading and collecting rare breeds and lineages. It is free to play, and the site shows advertising.
