eRepublik is a political and military strategy game set on a map of real-world countries. Each player is a citizen of a country who works, trains, fights in battles and takes part in its politics.
Players run for Congress and president, set taxes and declare wars, while others build companies, trade on markets or publish newspapers. Military units organize citizens for battles over regions, and countries form alliances that shift over time. Much of the game is social: elections, debates and long-running rivalries between national communities.
The game started in beta in 2007 and left beta in 2008. eRepublik Labs, which has been part of Stillfront Group since 2017, runs it. It is free to play in the browser, with gold sold for real money.
