EverQuest II

The sequel to EverQuest, set in a later age of Norrath, with yearly expansions, detailed player housing and a large crafting system.

Overview

EverQuest II is set in Norrath hundreds of years after the original game, after a cataclysm reshaped the world. It has received an expansion nearly every year since its 2004 launch and covers a very large world.

Play mixes solo and group questing, heroic dungeons and raids. Crafting is a full progression path with its own levels, and characters can also earn adventure levels, alternate advancement and ascension levels. The game is especially known for its housing: players can own many homes, decorate them with thousands of items, and build guild halls.

Time-locked servers let players move through older expansions in order. The game is free to play with limits, and the All Access membership unlocks most features. Cosmetics and convenience items are sold in the Marketplace, and a broker handles trading between players. Battlegrounds offer PvP.
