Overview

Haven & Hearth is an indie sandbox MMO from the small team Seatribe, set in a world inspired by Slavic and Germanic folklore. Instead of quest chains, players start in the wild and build a life from nothing: foraging, hunting, farming, crafting tools, raising buildings and claiming land.

The world is persistent and players change it for good. Forests are cleared, roads laid and villages founded, and groups can grow into larger tribes and realms. Characters gain skills by learning from what they discover. The game is known for being harsh, with real danger from both wildlife and other players, and the developers describe it as an alpha where world resets may happen.

It is free to play on Windows, Mac and Linux, and joined Steam Early Access in November 2024. An online store, the Hearth Shoppe, sells optional items that support development.
