MapleStory M brings Nexon's long-running 2D MMORPG MapleStory to phones, with the same Maple World setting. It keeps the side-scrolling maps, cute art style, towns and classes that MapleStory fans know, and reworks progression for mobile with auto-battle and auto-questing so players can level while doing other things.
Players choose from a large set of classes drawn from the PC game, then grind maps, run daily dungeons, take on bosses with parties and join guilds. Equipment is upgraded through enhancement systems, and there is a large wardrobe of cosmetic outfits to collect. Regular events and new class releases keep the game in step with its PC counterpart's long history.
The game is free to play on Android and iOS. Its store listing describes it as a gacha game, with random draws for gear, cosmetics and other items alongside regular shop purchases.
