MouseHunt

A passive browser game where you arm traps with cheese, sound the Hunter's Horn and catch hundreds of mouse types across a growing map of regions.

Overview

MouseHunt is a lighthearted idle game from Canadian studio HitGrab. Players are hunters in a kingdom overrun by mice, and the goal is to catch as many kinds as possible by choosing the right trap, base and cheese for each location.

The game runs on two loops. Traps check themselves automatically every hour, so progress continues while you are away, and you can sound the Hunter's Horn on a short cooldown for an active hunt. Catches pay out points and gold, which buy better equipment, new cheese and travel to new areas, many of which have their own puzzle-like mechanics.

MouseHunt started on Facebook, entered public release in March 2008, and later added iOS and Android apps. Friends can help one another, and players trade items with each other. It is free to play, with optional purchases for premium items.
