Overview

MU Online is a medieval fantasy MMORPG set on the MU Continent. Players choose a class such as Dark Knight, Dark Wizard or Fairy Elf, with more classes added over the years, and level by hunting monsters across a series of maps.

The game is known for its gear upgrade system, where jewels are used to raise item levels with a chance of failure, and for events like Blood Castle and Devil Square. Guilds compete in castle sieges, and open PvP is part of the game in many areas.

Webzen runs the global English service directly. MU Online is free to play with an item shop, and holds regular seasonal events. The game first launched in Korea in 2001 and opened its global server in 2003.
