Overview
Aion 2 is NCSOFT's sequel to the 2008 MMORPG Aion, set 200 years later in the same world of Atreia, where the winged Elyos and Asmodians remain at war. It is built on Unreal Engine 5, and flight and gliding are part of exploration and combat.
The game launched in South Korea and Taiwan on November 19, 2025 for PC and mobile. The global version, covering North America, South America, Europe and other regions in English, opened early access on September 30, 2026 and launched on October 5, 2026 for Windows through Steam and NCSOFT's PURPLE launcher; the global release does not include mobile.
Players choose a class and faction, progress through story and field content, run dungeons and take part in faction PvP in contested zones. The global version is free to play with an in-game shop; founder's packs were sold for early access.
