Overview
Atlantica Online is a fantasy MMORPG with turn-based tactical combat. Instead of controlling one hero, each player leads a team of mercenaries, recruited from many historical and mythical types, and arranges them in formation before each fight.
Exploring the world and moving between areas happens in real time, while battles are turn-based with timed turns. The game also has guilds, nations that compete for cities, a player market and crafting systems.
The game was developed by NDOORS and first published by Nexon, then moved to VALOFE, which runs the English Atlantica Global and Atlantica Europe servers, including on Steam. It is free to play with an item shop. The game first launched in South Korea in 2008, and later the same year in North America.
