Overview

3Kingdoms is a text MUD founded in 1992 that links three themed realms through the central town of Pinnacle: a medieval fantasy world, a war-scarred science fiction future, and a chaos realm where the two mix.

Players join one of more than 15 guilds, such as knights, necromancers and juggernauts, each with its own powers and social space. The world holds hundreds of areas with quests and recurring invasions, and the game is built to be easy to start but deep enough for years of play. A sister MUD, 3Scapes, runs under different rules.

The game is free and supported by donations. It offers browser clients and accepts connections from MUD clients at 3k.org, port 3000. The game runs on the LDMud driver with its own mudlib.
