Politics and War

A free nation simulation from 2006 where players build countries, trade, send aid and fight wars through alliances.
Cyber Nations is a browser nation simulation. Players create a nation, choose a government type and resources, and grow it by collecting taxes, buying infrastructure, land and technology, and setting up trade agreements with other nations.
Politics drive the game. Nations join alliances, which sign treaties and fight large wars, and much of the activity happens in diplomacy outside the game itself. Foreign aid between nations and trade circles add a cooperative layer, while tournament editions offer shorter, faster play.
The game was created by Kevin Marks and released to the public in early 2006. It is free to play in the browser, and the site has counted over 650,000 nations simulated. A small but steady community still plays, and the homepage shows recent in-game events such as new nations and aid offers.
