Overview

Hordes.io is a 3D fantasy MMORPG that runs directly in a web browser, made by a solo developer known as Dek (dekdev). It is still labeled as being in beta.

Players choose one of four classes, Warrior, Mage, Archer or Shaman, which cover the usual tank, damage and healer roles. Every character belongs to one of two factions, Vanguard or Bloodlust, and the two sides can always fight each other. Combat is real time with action-bar skills, and the game focuses on leveling in parties, joining large battle groups, collecting rare items and upgrading gear. Defeating rival players can earn gold and fame, and each faction has its own boss to defend.

Sessions are short and fast to start, since there is nothing to install. The game is free to play. An optional Elixir purchase grants premium time on the account.
