Overview

Blade & Soul NEO is a remastered release of Blade & Soul, the martial arts fantasy MMORPG NCSOFT first released in 2012. It rebuilds the original game on newer engine technology with updated graphics, and was launched in North America, South America and Europe in February 2025.

The setting draws on East Asian martial arts stories. Combat is action-based and focuses on chaining skills into combos, blocking, countering and using crowd control timing, with each class having a distinct fighting style. Characters can glide across the world with a movement system called Windwalk. Leveling follows a main story, and endgame play comes from dungeons, raids and gear upgrades.

Players can join one of two factions for open-world PvP, and there are arenas. The game is free to play, with a store and optional premium membership for convenience and cosmetic items.
