Overview

DC Universe Online lets players create their own superhero or supervillain in the DC Comics universe. Characters choose a mentor such as Superman, Wonder Woman, Lex Luthor or the Joker and operate in versions of Metropolis and Gotham City alongside familiar characters.

Combat is action-based with combos and blocking, and characters pick a power set, a weapon and a movement mode such as flight, super speed or acrobatics. Story episodes are released as paid or member content, and endgame play includes alerts, raids, collections and an extensive gear and artifact system. Players also own a base that can be decorated and shared with their league.

The game runs on PC, PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo Switch with cross-platform play. It is free to play, and an optional membership unlocks episodes and removes limits. Open-world PvP servers and PvP arenas are available.
